Dr. Gates and Montana were amazing. It was my first surgery and they helped me stay calm and assured me I was in good hands. Got into my consultation fast and then was on the surgery table within a week. Post op was great, they answered all my questions and made sure I was feeling good. All that and I didn’t even talk about the actual surgery yet. Started a little late but they kept me on track and got me in and out fast. It’s been two weeks and I feel great!

To put it plainly, Jesus and Dr Gates saved my life back in May, 2025 when I had to have emergency surgery and afterwards for my 2nd surgery as well. Dr Gates is a true expert at what he does and he's very personable too. I felt extreme ease in his care and he comes highly reccomended!! PA Montana is also a true gem. You couldn't ask for someone who genuinely cares for her patients the way she does! I REALLY adore her! I'm so happy my care came into the hands of Mountain West Surgical, they are A++++++++!!

Dr Gates and P.A. Montanna Merrick came highly recommended by my general doctor, and they didn't disappoint. Dr. Gates went above and beyond to avoid abdominal surgery for an uncooperative gall bladder. Prior adhesions required Dr. Gates to spend more time and care to reach my gall bladder and remove it. Job well done! P.A. Montana was very thorough and answered all my questions at my post surgery appointment. I'm very grateful to both of them.
